Toughened Glass
Tempered glass, also known as toughened glass, is a type of safety glass that is treated with heat and chemical processes to make it stronger and more durable than regular glass.
The heating and cooling process causes the glass to undergo compression on the surface and tension on the interior, making it up to four times stronger than standard glass.
If tempered glass breaks, it will shatter into small, rounded pieces rather than sharp shards, reducing the risk of injury.
